Debt Collection, Toll Collection, and
parking receivables
in the DACH market?
First, we establish the
foundation for successful processing.
1159 Finance handles debt collection, toll, and parking fines in the DACH region—as a partner for ongoing portfolios and, additionally, for returned cases. Before the first letter is sent, we enrich debtor data, check each case for plausibility, and tailor the subsequent processing accordingly. This ensures the process begins with a solid foundation rather than just another standard letter.
◉ No setup fees
◉ No commission on the principal amount
◉ Case-specific strategies instead of uniform, standard letters

OUR SERVICES
End-to-end processing for active portfolios and returned cases.
INVENTORY
-
We enrich the raw data provided and compile it into a debtor profile that is as complete and verified as possible. This ensures that our processing begins with reliable information rather than assumptions.
3+1 LANGUAGES
-
We communicate in German, French, and Italian as native speakers and are fluent in English. This allows us to combine a locally tailored approach to debt collection with reliable international coordination.
PER CASE
-
Before the first letter is sent, we verify the company name, individual name, address, deliverability, and the consistency of the case details. Any discrepancies are identified early on and are not carried forward into the rest of the process without verification.
ADDITIONAL ESCALATION LEVEL
-
We are expanding our collection process to include formal payment demands issued by our partner law firm—even before the case goes to court. At peak times, this allows us to recover up to an additional 25% of the cases referred to us.
CASE-BASED
-
To us, standardization does not mean treating every case the same. Our communication and collection processes take into account the available data, the type of claim, and the processing status.
END-TO-END
-
If out-of-court debt collection is not sufficient, we escalate the matter through our affiliated law firm: demand notices and enforcement orders, litigation, and foreclosure. All under one roof.
Four projects. Four concrete results.
FROM PRACTICE
>50%
-
As a national DACH partner, we took over an existing toll portfolio. After re-examining the data and adjusting our processing strategy, we were able to successfully resolve, on average, more than 50% of the cases transferred to us.
>35%
-
As part of a debt recovery project, we took on receivables that had been processed multiple times and subsequently returned. By implementing a revised data, communication, and escalation strategy, we were able to reactivate more than 35% of the cases in appropriate case groups.
84
-
For a cross-border fine collection project, we developed 84 customizable communication templates—tailored to the data set, case specifics, and processing status.
3+1
-
We communicate in German, French, and Italian as our native languages, and we are fluent in English. This allows us to combine debtor communication tailored to local needs with reliable international coordination.
The positive Google reviews from people who were contacted show that consistent follow-up and respectful communication are not mutually exclusive.
Our offer for you:
Free benchmark test for returned cases
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
To complement your existing partner structure, we use a clearly defined residual portfolio to identify any untapped potential that remains after the work completed to date.
SELECT A TEST PORTFOLIO
1.
-
You provide us with selected claims that your previous partner has returned or has not processed further. Your existing partner structure remains unaffected.
FREE INITIAL ESTIMATE
2.
-
We analyze data quality, plausibility, and previous processing. You will then receive an assessment of which cases are suitable for the benchmark, as well as a recommendation for the next steps.
START BENCHMARK
3.
-
We will not begin the agreed-upon test portfolio until we have received your approval. As we proceed, we will continuously analyze responses, incoming payments, and the impact of each stage of the process.
The benchmark not only shows what can still be achieved; it also highlights which case groups continue to hold economic potential.
You can then decide whether and to what extent you would like to continue the collaboration—without an automatic transition and without changing your existing partnership structure.

FAQ – YOUR QUESTIONS
-
The >50% figure refers to a toll collection portfolio that had previously been processed for the first time by our international debt collection partner. Following our data processing and an adjusted collection strategy, more than 50% of the receivables then transferred were collected through secondary marketing.
The result is not a blanket forecast for every portfolio. The actual recovery rate depends, among other things, on the type of receivable, the age of the receivable, data quality, the legal basis, and how the receivable has been handled to date.
-
No. Our primary business is the ongoing processing of debt collection, toll, and parking receivables in the DACH region. We handle entire portfolios and are currently participating in ongoing benchmark tests with other partners in our business segment.
The handling of returned cases is a supplementary service for companies that are already working with a DACH partner and would like to conduct a trial separate from their day-to-day operations.
-
There is no need to change your existing partner structure. We can start by specifically targeting claims that your previous partner deemed unsuccessful.
For a test, a clearly defined test portfolio is agreed upon, which is managed separately from your current main portfolio. This provides you with an additional assessment of the remaining potential.
-
No, collaboration is also possible on a country-specific basis in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This means that individual benchmark tests can also be set up for each of these countries.
In addition, our collection strategies and payment terms are tailored to the specific national practices and payment methods in each country.
-
The principal amount originally owed is not reduced, as is usually the case, by a percentage-based success fee charged by 1159 Finance. The specific compensation model and any potential cost components are agreed upon transparently before the collaboration begins.
-
To begin a specific benchmark test, we generally need a portfolio of about 1,000 receivables. You can generally provide us with the data in the same format that you use in your day-to-day business operations.
If you'd like to start with a smaller volume, we'd be happy to discuss the options with you during a conversation of about 15 minutes.
-
For an initial test, all we need is for you to send us your receivables—preferably in CSV or XLSX format. We will handle the entire process of processing the data.
Afterward, we'll hold a roughly 30-minute coordination meeting to determine the next steps together.
-
Data transmission and processing are carried out in accordance with agreed-upon, GDPR-compliant processes. For example, we host our software at a national data center in Germany.
Before we begin, we clarify, among other things, responsibilities, access rights, transmission channels, retention and deletion periods, and how to handle questions and objections.
-
Since we operate as a debt collection agency licensed in Germany, it is not legally possible for us to act solely on your behalf. However, we are happy to refer to you as our client in our correspondence.
In addition, there are specific situations, such as when claims under public law are involved. Please feel free to contact us.
-
No, we generally do not have minimum volumes, membership fees, or fixed-term commitments. However, for medium- and long-term partnerships, we require a financially viable caseload.
Based on our experience to date, we recommend a portfolio of approximately 1,000 cases for a meaningful benchmark test.
-
Once the joint benchmark test is complete, you will receive a transparent analysis of the results, which we will discuss together.
You can then decide whether you want to refer additional returned cases to us, have us handle specific sub-portfolios on a permanent basis, or establish a more comprehensive DACH partnership.
